Ryan is an accomplished DOP and Camera Operator with over a decade of experience in video production and is now based in Townsville, North Queensland – Australia.
Before diving into Film and TV, he worked as an Audio Visual Technician, mastering sound, video, and lighting setups for concerts, conferences, and events.
With over 20 years in Broadcast TV, Ryan kicked off his career with a Certificate in Film and TV in 2004 and got hands-on experience as a Camera Assistant/Cabler at TVNZ.
He contributed to major projects like Lotto, Mitre10 Dream Home, Dancing with the Stars and various live sports events.
Ryan’s passion for the craft led him to further his studies with a Diploma in Film from the Southern Institute of Technology, graduating in 2017. Now, he’s fully immersed in the film and TV industry, bringing his expertise to every project.
Ryan is highly proficient with a wide range of Digital Cinema Cameras and owns his own high-end gear, including a Sony CineAlta F55 and Sony FX9, complete with a full lighting and sound setup ready to cover your next video content needs.
